Prevention brochure for human trafficking/pimp boyfriends

Prevention brochure for human trafficking/pimp boyfriends

Prevention is a key pillar in dealing with human trafficking and grooming by pimp boyfriends. In recent years, a great many prevention products have been developed by the Government and local authorities, all aimed specifically at grooming by pimp boyfriends and – in a broader sense – at the prevention of transgressive sexual behaviour. This approach has led to a large and diverse range of products, which occasionally makes it difficult for professionals to find the most suitable materials. In order to provide support to young people, parents and professionals, the Ministry of Security and Justice has collaborated with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science to create an inventory of the prevention materials available.

This project has resulted in the development of a practical and clear digital brochure. The brochure provides users with a list of the prevention materials relevant to them in just a few clicks. This interactive brochure allows users to find suitable prevention materials for various groups of potential victims, such as young people over 12 years of age, young people with intellectual disabilities/in mental health care (GGZ)/in special education, and young people with a different cultural background. In addition, they will be able to find materials intended for parents or professionals which teaches them to identify indicators and signals of human trafficking/pimp boyfriend grooming.

All materials include a general description and an outline of the intended demographic, the year in which the material was developed and last updated, and the region(s) in which the material is available. The information also indicates whether or not the materials have been evaluated. All materials also include a link to the websites where they may be purchased or requested.
