Online course for the detection of human trafficking
Addressing human trafficking starts by detecting human trafficking practices. It is therefore vital that sufficient attention is paid to this aspect. For that reason, the Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety (CCV) was commissioned by the Ministry of Security and Justice to develop the online training course for the detection of human trafficking.
Using the online learning tool, municipal professionals will be able to make the first steps in the direction of detection without prior knowledge by teaching them how broad and diverse human trafficking practices are. Most importantly, they will learn what human trafficking looks like at the desk or behind the front door. The interactive assignments allow them to see that there are indeed indicators which they can identify in their daily activities. In addition, the online course gives them tools that allow them to act in a targeted manner once indicators are identified.
