To which provisions is a victim engaged in an ongoing asylum procedure entitled?
Victims who are engaged in an ongoing asylum procedure are entitled to accommodation at an asylum seekers’ residence centre. This right to reception comes into being from the moment at which the asylum seeker requests asylum and lasts until they are either granted a residence permit or ordered to leave the Netherlands. At the asylum seekers’ centre, the asylum seeker will have access to basic facilities such as shelter, cooking and laundry facilities and computers. In addition, asylum seekers are given a weekly living allowance under the Asylum Seekers (Provisions) Regulations (Rva).
