I am currently providing support to a victim who is pregnant. What key provisions and regulations apply to this victim?
There are various organisations that provide specialised shelter to pregnant victims. To get an overview of the range of specialised services available in your region, please contact the care coordinator.
Pregnant victims who do not have lawful residence status and who do not make use of the reflection period, the Residence Scheme for Victims of Human Trafficking or the asylum procedure may apply for a postponement of departure under Section 64 of the Aliens Act. During the six-week period before and the six-week period after the estimated date of delivery, they shall be entitled to reception at an asylum seekers’ residence centre under the Asylum Seekers and Other Categories of Aliens (Provisions) Regulations of 2005 (Rva).
